Can I choose the brand or model of my car?

Our system books by categories (example: Economy 3 door), so there can be many models and brands for each category; Therefore it is not possible for us to guarantee you will get a specific model. If at the moment you receive the car we have availability of the one you want, then we will give it to you. The same thing with fuel; you cannot choose between petrol or diesel. Model, fuel and car colour will depend on the cars available in our office on pick up date.

Do I need a credit card to make my booking?

YES. You only can make a reservation if you give the details of your credit card, although Ibacar will NOT USE the card in any case, except to charge improper cancellation fees by your side. All credit cards accepted, except American Express.

Are there age restrictions for renting a car?

Two years driving license minimum. Minimum Age: 21 years. "Young Driver" Supplement between 21 and 25 years of 8 € / day. Only "Group A" can be rented. You can not apply the full risk and the amount of the excess will be blocked on your card.

Who can drive the car?

Only those who have been added as drivers on the signed rental agreement as main or additional driver

Can I take a car off of the islands?

No you are not allowed, not even within islands as you are not covered by our insurance

Can I reduce the excess to 0 €?

YES, it is possible. When making your reservation, you have the option to contract with CDW insurance which eliminates the excess. Only valid for people over 25 years.

Why do I have to bring my credit card?

Taking the measure of bringing the credit card specified on the booking to cover the additional costs allows us to avoid fraud and to keep our reduced and competitive rates.

What happens if my flight arrives late at night or delayed?

If you have provided us with the correct flight number you do not have to worry, we will be waiting for you in the airport arrivals hall. Between 22h and 08h, there is a night service charge for deliveries or collections .

Can I have a look to the rates before booking the car?

All you have to do is pick the Island, rental dates and times, the car you want and you will be quoted a price, if you agree with this price, than you can go ahead with the booking.

FUEL Policy

Depending on the area the customer can choose between full / full and / or full 1/4,, to be paid by the customer according to the following table ... Which documents do I need to receive my car?

Please bring your passport or ID card, drivers licence and credit card. If there are additional drivers, passport or ID card and drivers licence.

Can I return the car in a different place than I received it?

Yes the cost of this service “one way rental” is 35€. For rentals more than 5 days is free.

Can I cancel my booking? Is there any penalty for canceling?

Cancellations without penalty must be made with a minimum of 96 hours respect to the start of rent which shall be considered at 08.00 am on the first day. Otherwise the following shall apply: - Between 96 and 72 h be paid 25% of the total agreed price. - Between 72 h and 48 h, 50% will be paid the agreed price. - Between 48 and 24 hours will be paid 75% of the total agreed price. - Less than 24 hours shall be paid 100% of the total agreed price.

Will I receive my car in the Airport?

YES. You can collect the car in front of the arrivals terminal, at the meeting point in the fourth floor of the airport car park.

Can you deliver/pick up the car to my hotel? Do I have to pay extra?

YES. You will NOT have to pay extra for it.

Is the compulsory car insurance included in the fee?

Yes, the coverage of the compulsory Car insurance and liability insurance to ensure damages against third parties are always included in the rental at no extra cost.

Pick Up & Return the car at the AIRPORT

To collect your car at the AIRPORT...


PALMA de MALLORCA, please, coming out of the arrivals terminal go to the Parking building. Once there, take the elevator to the 4th floor and follow the signs "Meeting Point" where you will find our IBACAR Agents waiting for you.


IBIZA Airport, please, coming out of the arrivals terminal just go to the parking area, directly opposite. Once there, you will find our IBACAR agents at the Meeting Point of Parking area P3.


MENORCA Airport, once you have collected your luggage, our agents IBACAR on the island, will welcome you at the Meeting Point in front of the terminal exit. The Shuttle Express will drive you to the main office (just 3 minutes away) to collect  your vehicle in complete comfort, without having to wait.


In unforeseen event, please contact us at +34 971 261 175 and try to help as fast as possible.


Under the express request of the customer, both delivery and return, IBACAR authorized agents will make a vehicle survey and provide a copy thereof to the customer.
