The processing of a booking via the www.ibacar.com website involves the customer's express acceptance of all the general conditions considered to be an integral part of the booking and completed by the applicable specific legislation.

These general Booking Conditions have order of prevalence, which means they can be complementary to and/or modified by the specific conditions of each service as the hire vehicle belongs to a third party operator. Because of this, the customer pledges to read the particular conditions applicable to each service before requesting and using it.

The companies associated with AEVAB publish their range of services and prices on the  www.ibacar.com website.

Meanwhile, the customer is responsible for checking the contract once the booking has been confirmed to inform AEVAB of any possible incidents that may occur during the contracting process in order to resolve them without damage to the parties.

In general terms, the customer is considered as the individual appearing as first driver on the hire agreement. If the booking is made by an organisation, that organisation will assume all nominative and legal responsibility involved in being the agreement holder. This is without prejudice to the assumption of liability by agreement-holder drivers for any damage or offences they may be responsible for, either because of negligent use of vehicles or breach of any of the terms in these General conditions and/or each company's specific hire conditions.

The customer pledges to comply with all terms and conditions included in this document and in each company's specific conditions and to inform every additional driver appearing in the agreement of their duty to comply with them.

Vehicles may not be moved to the Iberian Peninsula or taken on any ferry between the Balearic Islands.


Minimum requirements for all drivers:
-For four-wheeled vehicles:

    Must be a holder of a current driving licence held for at least 2 years
    Minimum age: twenty-three (23).

A hire contract cannot be concluded if any of the drivers included in it has had their driving licence withdrawn.

In order to pick up the vehicle, it is an essential requirement to present all the relevant drivers' documents, which must be current ones, as well as the original credit card.
 
The hire cost includes:

• Unlimited mileage
• Compulsory third-party insurance
• Taxes, VAT
• The services detailed in the hire conditions stipulated by each selected hire company when the booking is made. “CHECK EACH OPERATOR'S SPECIFIC CONDITIONS”

When the booking is made, a deposit for the sum indicated on the corresponding payment page is made by secure credit card payment. If the payment is not made the booking is not confirmed.

The transaction will be carried out in EUROS, regardless of the customer's origin or the selected hire company.

The customer will receive booking details by post together with a number (booking localiser) which will identify it.
 
When making the booking, the customer is fully and exclusively responsible for the accuracy of all the details appearing. If it is shown that any of the details is false or that inaccurate information has been provided giving rise to erroneous interpretations, this could lead to the cancellation of the booking, in which case the hire company will not be obliged to refund the sum paid either fully or partially.

The customer may dispense with the services requested or contracted at any time, making the cancellation in writing and sending it to the e-mail address or fax number of the company with which the booking was made. Customers will have the right to the refund of any sum they have paid. However, they must compensate the hire company FOR CANCELLATION, depending on the number of days before the vehicle pick-up date, as indicated below:

    30 or more days before the vehicle pick-up date: NO CHARGE

    29 – 7 days before the vehicle pick-up date: 50% of the sum paid

     6 – 4 days before the vehicle pick-up date: 75% of the sum paid

    3 or fewer days before the vehicle pick-up date: 100% of the sum paid

 No refunds will be given for hires ended before the contracted date, collected on dates later than the one indicated in the booking (if the appropriate amendment and notification has not been made), failure to turn up to pick up the car on the stipulated date or cancellations after the pick-up date.
